| Citrus Iced Tea | The full amount of sugar in this iced tea will make those with a serious sweet tooth very happy. The rest of you might want to start with a little less than 1 cup and add more after tasting.--Angela Shelf Medearis Total time: 20 minutes (plus chilling) Hands-on time: 10 minutes | | | | Ingredients: 12 bags high-quality black tea 8 cups boiling water 1 to 1-1/2 cups sugar 1 can (12 ounces) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed Zest of 1 large orange, in thin strips Ice, for serving Lemon or orange slices, for garnish | | | | 1. Place the tea bags in a large heatproof pitcher. Pour in the boiling water, cover and let the tea steep for at least 10 minutes. 2. Discard the tea bags. Stir in 1 cup of the sugar until dissolved. Stir in the lemonade concentrate and orange zest. Taste and add up to 1/2 cup sugar if desired. Refrigerate until chilled. 3. Serve over ice in tall iced tea glasses. Garnish with a slice of lemon or orange, if desired.
